Support achievement of safety objectives for all employees while following safety policies and procedures. Coordinate Environmental Health and Safety programs for the facility. Drive policies, procedures, and training to support health and safety objectives. Evaluate materials and 5S processes to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Work with all departments to provide support for safety initiatives, drive toward VPP, and achieve established safety objectives.
Lead Safety Steering Team and facilitate meetings.
Serve as a lead point of contact on the production floor for incident investigation, monthly safety inspections, emergency response, and BBS program support.
Provide and coordinate safety training to associates per schedule.
Assist in selecting and maintaining PPE and safety products.
Produce a report to inform Operations Supervisor of work plans to meet safety regulations. Notify Operations Supervisor of all quality and safety issues.
Continuously evaluate tooling methods, materials, processes, and equipment to develop and implement cost reductions. Actively seek involvement of other hourly employees in this effort.
Support the Company and plant's policies, shop rules, safety rules, and safety programs to establish and maintain a safe, clean, orderly, cooperative and positive work environment.
Foster an environment that supports safety and effectively resolves concerns and notifies Operations Supervisor of disciplinary issues.
Support 5S programs in the facility.
Lead the forklift training program. Update Hendrickson specific material as needed. Maintain the trainer list and rotate trainers to ensure they retain the training material and training skills.
Maintain regular attendance.
Perform daily required activities as directed by management and EDS to include cost control and outside vendor relationships.

High School diploma or GED required
Completion of OSHA 30 or similar certificate program.
Associates Degree in safety related field a plus.
Ability to lead and facilitate teams and foster cooperative relationships with other departments.
Excellent computer skills.
Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous leadership experience a plus
